Algebra for business, life and social science students. Inequalities, functions, graphs of linear, polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, mathematics of finance, systems of linear equations and matrices, linear programming, and introduction to probability.
Prerequisite: Two years of high school algebra and satisfactory achievement on the mathematics placement exam or MA092with a grade of C or better. High school plane geometry also recommended. This course will not count toward a major or minor in mathematics
